Saina Nehwal Wins Swiss Open Title

World No 4 woman badminton player Saina Nehwal of India won the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold after she defeated Korean player Ji Hyun Sung. She won the match by 21-13, 21-14 in very quick time in Switzerland. She took just 43 minutes to emerge as the winner of this final. Although her opponent was ranked at 19, Saina had to play aggressively. Nehwal is also the 1st Indian to carry the Super series tournament on her shoulder, after winning the gold at the India Grand Prix and at Commonwealth Games. Interestingly, she has also won 3 Super Series titles; namely Indonesia, Singapore and Hong Kong Open.
She won the World Junior Badminton Championships. Even though she might be quite young at the moment, as she is 21-year-old right now, she has also become as the 1st Indian woman to reach the Olympics singles quarter-finals.
